Poway Toyota has been sold to a partnership of lifelong friends. Vincent “Chi Chi” Castro and his life long friend Troy Duhon have purchased Poway Toyota and will operate as Toyota of Poway starting October 29, 2008.
Castro and Duhon started their friendship in the first grade when they sat next to each other in the first grade classroom. That friendship has grown as they have worked side by side since 1984 at Toyota of Jefferson (Louisiana). Castro, his wife Lourdes and their two school aged children are excited to be moving to Poway. Castro said “It’s a dream come true… I’ve trained for over 20 years for this opportunity, my wife and children are so excited!”
The dealer principle Castro is partnering with Duhon in this dealership. Duhon is president of Premier Automotive Group in New Orleans, LA where he owns and operates Premier Nissan of Metairie, Premier Kia of Kenner, Premier Honda and Toyota of New Orleans.
The team has a strong focus on customer satisfaction, one that is evident in their Warranty for Life program. They warranty every new vehicle the sell for as long as you own – regardless of how many miles you drive. Castro went on to say “We believe in the Toyota product so much that we warranty it for life… It also helps fulfill our mission of want our customers for life!”
This partnership of Castro and Duhon has deep roots but this is the first time Castro will be the dealer operator. His business partner Duhon said “I am so proud and excited for my best friend and his family!” Duhon, a well respected auto dealer added “Chi Chi will be a great dealer in Poway – he is such a people person and what a great area to live and raise your kids…”
